There has been some confusion about the colored shorts/leggings and socks for costumes. The girls (except for principles) are wearing matching skirts, so they need colored shorts or leggings to wear under them. They should all know by now what color shirt they will be wearing, so any shorts that don't clash with their shirt will work. We are trying to use a lot of color in the costumes, so it will be best if the shorts are long enough to actually show under the skirts.
The socks do not have to match either shirt or shorts, but again should not clash with either. Socks should be "bobby socks" style...over the ankle.
